When I first moved to South Boston, I met Lizzie and Josh (owners of Petiquette) walking a pack of pups down my street. They were both so friendly, and you could immediately see that the loved the animals they were walking – and that they truly loved their job. I immediately knew these two would be our future dog walkers.

My pups have been with Petiquette since August, and I haven’t been happier with them (both my pug and lab would agree!). My dogs are walked during the week, and both Lizzie and Josh always leave a nice note about their walk with our two boys. It always puts a smile on our faces hearing about their daily adventure! It’s always a fun surprise when you sometimes see pictures of your pup’s walk on their Facebook page too!

My dogs also go to the Petiquette B&B whenever we are out of town – our dogs come home completely happy and exhausted from all the playtime. It’s fantastic!

These two continually surprise us with the sweetest of gestures. Over Christmas, I noticed a two little gifts under the tree from Petiquette. Also, on holidays they sometimes leave little presents for the dogs – from St. Patty’s day scarves to sweet treats for Easter. Let me say, I have been with a ton of different dog walkers and dog walking companies in my 9 years as a Boston resident, and I can tell you not one of them has ever done anything like this. Petiquette is simply the best.

The most special moment we’ve had with Lizzie and Josh is was when our lab, Stanley, had a cancerous tumor removed. I emailed Petiquette to warn them about how our sluggish pup was looking after his surgery so they weren’t surprised when came to our house to get him for his walk. When I got home from work, there was a gift from B.Y.O.D. on our counter for Stanley – a huge toy (that he is obsessed with!) and some special treats. It was just beyond thoughtful.

I truly feel like Lizzie and Josh care about our dogs just like we do. They treat them how we treat them. And because we love our dogs so much, the peace of mind we get knowing Petiquette is walking our dogs is priceless. I can’t thank the two of you enough for everything you do for our boys!

After finding out that our former pet sitter no longer boards dogs, my husband and I scrambled to find a new service to watch our fur babies.  Being that it was a Sunday and we were leaving on Friday, we realized that our procrastination wasn’t going to necessarily become someone else’s emergency.  However, we frantically started searching Yelp and other search engines, making calls and keeping our fingers crossed that someone would return our call *and* have availability…

I can’t begin to tell you how lucky we got!  After returning our call within hours, ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON, we set up a meet and greet with Lizzie and Josh for the upcoming Tuesday evening.  They came over and met with our Boston Terriers, Gremlin and Gizmo.  They were more than willing to answer all our questions and they didn’t seem fazed by the fact that our dogs tend to jump all over visitors and demand to be paid attention to and loved.  They had no problem with our late notice and their prices were more than reasonable.

Fast forward to the weekend… we left our dogs at our house on Friday, and Josh came and picked them up with no problems at all.  We had told them we would probably be back on Monday around 4pm, but when we hit traffic, and had to change our ETA to 8pm, Lizzie was nothing but understanding and accommodating.  She brought them over to the house after we got home, and they looked great… and smelled even better than when we left them!

Lizzie and Josh will definitely be our go-to dog sitters from here on out.    They are kind and professional, and I know my dogs are in good hands at Petiquette Pooch Concierge.  Also, they took some AMAZING pictures of the dogs and offered to post them on Facebook, which, I think, is an extra special touch that I, for one, really appreciated.  It just demonstrates that they actually attempt to form a relationship with the pets, as opposed to just  making sure they are fed and walked

I’m not usually comfortable leaving my dogs with people when I go away. Alan is usually fine, but Fama is mentally challenged, and a little slow. … so I get nervous lol. My dog needs a helmet.

But, for some reason, with Josh & Lizzie I was not worried at all. They’re probably the 2 nicest people I’ve ever met and I’d recommend them to anyone. My dogs always come home happy & clean.

Hands down excellent! Josh and Lizzie have taken amazing care of our spastic, over-energized boxers. The princess and I love our dogs as if they were our kids and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our babies. Bond and Bella (the boxers) love these guys and again, I trust Josh and Lizzie in our home. Petiquette Pooch Concierge is my go-to when I need care for my dog, a five-year-old Boston Terrier.  I have dealt only with Josh up to this point, but he has been extremely easy to get in touch with and extremely accommodating. He was also very thorough during our initial meeting and almost immediately put my dog at ease, which is not easy to accomplish!

I feel comfortable leaving my dog in their care and giving them a key to my house. Once I even spotted them walking some other dogs around Southie and the whole pack looked like they were having a great time!

Lizze & Josh are great!   My travel schedule this summer has been crazy and I have had to rely on them almost weekly.    Even when they can’t accommodate exactly what I need they don’t say no, they find a solution.  They stay abreast of what is going on in the pet community in Boston and once advised me not to send my dog to daycare because of a new strain of kennel cough that was going around.  In stead of just saying don’t send her and there is nothing we can do, they offered an alternative solution which worked just as well.   If your in need of dog walking, sitting or overnight boarding Lizzie & Josh need to be your first call.  They’re rates are competitive if not better than the new “dog hotels” popping up all over the place and if you ask me their service is far better!

We can’t say enough good things about Lizzie and Josh.  We initially heard about them by purchasing a ruelala gift certificate.  We called them to see if they had room for Rylee over 4th of July weekend.  They did!!!  (mind you we only called 2 weeks earlier)  We stopped by one night after work to check out their place.  What can I say . . .clean and welcoming!!  Rylee immediately settled in and was right at home.  At that point we knew we picked the right place.  We dropped Rylee of July 2nd and he ran in (couldn’t wait to get inside).  Lizzie was there to welcome us in and she is always so pleasant and easy to talk to.  Needless to say mommy was a little worried with her furry baby’s first sleep away, come to find out i had NOTHING to worry about.  Rylee had a blast and couldn’t have been happier!!!  We look forward to many many overnights at Petiquette!!  It is so refresing and mind easing to know we have found someone that will take care of and love our little guy just as much as we do when he is there!!  Highly recommend LIzzie and Josh.  Thanks so much you two!!!

Josh and Lizzie are amazing!

We love our Havanese, Calvin to death, and we are constantly concerned about his happiness and comfort. He has his quirks, and we needed to feel comfortable leaving him with someone that would understand. We also hated the idea of him spending the majority of his time in a cage while we were on vacation. With The Petiquette he is part of their family. He loves playing with their dogs, and I don’t worry about him for one second while I’m away. We’ve already scheduled the next year of vacations with them.

I would recommend Josh and Lizzie to anyone! They take care of your pet as if they were their own!

When I adopted by little guy Odie, I searched for a reliable dog-walker in Southie and luckily found Petiquette.  Josh and Lizzie are wonderful and always accommodating to my schedule as a nurse.  I am able to communicate with them via text message and they are always quick to respond.  They are reliable and honest and I completely trust them in my home.  In the beginning, Odie had a lot of trouble trusting them and they went out of their way to work with him to become more comfortable.  They also leave him little treat bags on holidays!

Would absolutely recommend Josh and Lizzie to anyone in Southie who needs a fabulous dog walker!

I highly recommend Petiquette Pooches in South Boston.  My boyfriend and I adopted a rescue puppy from Tennessee in October, but with our busy schedules and a puppy we needed to know that someone would be there to take her out for a nice walk and some socialization with other dogs.  I contacted Lizzie and Josh and they came over that night to meet us and see if it was a fit, which it was! Mackenzie, our puppy, LOVED her walks and made some really great friends on her walks.  She was always tired when we got home at the end of the day!  Lizzie and Josh were so thoughtful too, with their presents on Christmas, Valentines Day,  and St. Patricks Day for our little girl.  We just moved to Charlestown on Friday, and it was so hard for us to say goodbye to them.  There is nothing like knowing your dog is safe and having fun when your not there.  I dont know if we will find walkers like them again.

Josh and Lizzie are great.  They take great care of my pup and he looks forward to his daily walks with them. I love this place and frankly so does my dog. He literally jumps out of my arms to go inside Josh and Lizzie’s. They are amazing at accommodating their clients and their busy schedules. I always seem to call needing a dogsitter at the last minute but they have always been there for me. Plus, my dog comes home smelling so good, and sooo tired. So I know he was well looked after and had a great time. In this tech savvy generation I love the fact that they post pics and videos of my pet on their webpage for me to see while I’m away! Especially when I’m missing him and  craving to see his cute antics. Overall, Josh and Lizzie are a very loving couple who do an amazing job watching my beloved dog.

I have been using Petiquette since I adopted my dog Diesel this past October. Josh and Lizzie have been so good with him. They have watched him several times and he comes back tired and happy. They are always very flexible, which is extremely important to me since I travel for work otten. The best dog sitters ever. Josh and Lizzy take care of your pooch as if he is one of their own. I felt very comfortable leaving my lab mix with the two of them while I was away in NYC for the weekend. No problems, No worries. The second time I left Porter in their care, when I returned, Porter was fully groomed, nails done and all! Top notch with a personal touch, I could tell by Porters disposition that he had a great time and didn’t even notice I was gone. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Petiquette Pooch Concierge.

Petiquette Pooch Concierge is the best pet sitter in town…forget that in this state.  Everytime I go away I leave my puggle Bella with Lizzie and Josh.  They are amazing and my dog absolutely loves staying there.  She always tries to steer me to Petiquette when we are on walks near by she likes it so much!

I never think twice when we leave her and it makes our vacation that much more fun.

As the other reviewers said my dog comes back happy, clean and exhausted.  Definitely check it out!

I have used Josh and Lizzie for overnight boarding for my dogs once. I can’t say enough good things about them.  They were very nice when I brought the dogs over and you could tell right away they were animal lovers and kind people.  My shy dog actually snuggled up right next to Josh after the first 5 minutes.  I couldn’t believe it, because she is usually such a scaredy cat with new people.  I would definitely recommend them for doggie boarding.  Your dogs will be in good hands!

Upon relocating to Boston, one of our first priorities was to make sure our 3 year old Welsh Terrier was not cooped up all day while we worked downtown. We immediately found Lizzie and the Petiquette team to be friendly, trustworthy and great with our little guy. They are easy to communicate with, always get back to us quickly when we have questions/requests and they were happy to help when we needed a weekend home for our pup – and he came back to us happy and tired! They know the area and have provided us wonderful resources for all sorts of dog and Southie related inquiries.

Their flexibility with our various schedule adjustments has been incredible. I have no reservations recommending Lizzie and Josh to friends and neighbors — we’d be lost without them!

I cannot say enough great things about Lizzie and Josh!  Our German Shepherd, Sadie, absolutely loves them and so do we!  I was home one day recently when Josh came in the house to take her for her daily walk and she greeted him how she greets my fiance and I with a toy in her mouth and immediatly goes to her back for a belly rub!  I feel so at ease with them taking her and love how reliable and nice they are with last minute requests!  There relationship with Red Dog Daycare is so helpful with pick up and drop off that it makes working longer hours possible!  We also use them for boarding and cleaning our house and again are very happy customers!  Thanks Lizzie and Josh for being so great to our pup!
